Merit Award in Aerospace Engineering

Tekever will award the best student in Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico.
Target audience and application conditions
All Técnico students enrolled in Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Rules and Conditions
- 1. Students must have already completed the Curricular Units of the 1st and 2nd semesters of the 1st year, and those of the 1st semester of the 2nd year, totaling 90 ECTS.
- 2. Students will be ranked according to the weighted average (MP), rounded to the hundredths, of the curricular units referred to in point 1, attended and completed at Instituto Superior Técnico, and the top 3 students will be selected. This selection will take place on 1st March, 2026.
- 3. The 3 selected students will be contacted and, if within a period of 5 working days they do not respond and accept the invitation to participate in this Merit Award, they will no longer be eligible for this edition of the Award. The next students in the ranking will then be contacted successively, in accordance with the criteria defined in points 1 and 2 of this article.
- 4. The 3 selected students must submit their Curriculum Vitae (CV) for evaluation, and will have a deadline of 3 working days to send the document to the email address from which they received the information referred to in point 3 of this article. The following elements will be considered in the CV:
a. Extracurricular activities. - b. Participation in student groups.
- 5.The jury may invite the 3 students to an interview (E), which will be scheduled within 10 days after receipt of the CVs. During the interview, the following aspects will be assessed:
a. Communication skills;
b. Clarity;
c. Motivations that led the students to choose the Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, with particular value given to considerations on how the program may contribute to overcoming the challenges currently faced by a group such as TEKEVER. - 6. The evaluation of candidates will take into account the candidate’s academic record (PA), namely the number of enrollments (NI) in the master’s program presented by the candidate:
a. PA = 20 if NI = 2
b. PA = 15 if NI = 3
c. PA = 10 if NI > 3 - 7. The jury’s decision will be based on the following weighting:50%*MP+20%*PA+20%*CV+10%*EIf no interview takes place, the weighting will be:
50%*MP+25%*PA + 25%*CV.
