Lab2Market@Técnico 2025

Discover your technology’s path to market!

Lab2Market@Técnico is a training programme designed for professors, researchers and PhD students to help validate the market potential of their technologies and projects.
This immersive programme combines practical and theoretical sessions, allowing participants to acquire essential skills in innovation, entrepreneurship and value creation.

In the 2025 edition, we invite you to be part of this transformative experience, where you can acquire skills in entrepreneurship, innovation and value creation, while working to turn your research into a real solution with an impact on the market.

Market assessment, building a value proposition, how to present the project to investors, identifying and contacting potential partners and clients are some of the answers your team can find by taking part in this programme.

Launch session

To kick off the 2025 edition, we will be holding a launch session:

This event will be attended by former participants in the programme, who will share their experiences and learnings.

Program dates:

  • Applications – January 6th until February 3rd 2025

  • Launching Session – 21st January 2025 | 2.30pm |  Civil Museum | Hybrid Session
  • Pitch: short presentations of pre-selected applications –  February 12th 2024 | 2pm to 5pm | in person/ Hybrid
  • Results – until February 21st 2025;
  • Workshop:  26th February 2025,  9am | in person
  • One-to-one meetings: 26th February 2025,  2.30pm | in person/ Hybrid 
  • First 4 week working period – March 10th to April 4th 2025
  • Workshop:  1st April 2025,  9.30am | in person
  • Mid-Term Meeting –  9th April 2025 | 9:30am | in person
  • Second 5 week working period – 14th April – 16th May 2025
  • Workshop:  21st May,  9.30am | in person
  • Final Pitch presentation – June 3th 2025 | 3:00pm | in person

Important Information:

Project presentations must be conducted in English.

Important points to focus on in the Pitch presentation and for the first meeting with I-deals consultants:
  • What does the technology do and what state is it in.
  • What is your competitive advantage.
  • What are the applications of your technology.
  • Who are your technology’s competitors and what do you do that they don’t do.
  • There has been a previous market analysis.
  • Who are your potential customers.
  • Have you mentioned or thought of any potential customers?
  • What do you hope to get out of the programme? (So that mentors can focus on the most important needs during the mentoring process).
