McKinsey Merit Award in Differential and Integral Calculus III

McKinsey annually awards an academic merit award to the best student of the Differential and Integral Calculus III curriculum unit in the Mathematics Department of IST’s.
Target audience and application conditions
Candidates for the McKinsey Merit Award in Computational Mathematics are all students enrolled on the Differential and Integral Calculus III curriculum unit, run by the Department of Mathematics, who have not already passed the course in a previous year.
Essential requirements
1. Students will be ranked according to their marks in the course module for that semester.
2. The tie-breaker will be the average of the marks obtained in the course modules Linear Algebra, Differential and Integral Calculus I and II.
3. The jury’s decision is final.
4. The selected student may only receive one merit award sponsored by McKinsey in the same academic year.
Prize
- Monetary prize amounting to 2.500€ (two thousand and five hundred euros), to be given to student;
- Donation for the improvement of the education quality, in the amount of 1.670€ (one thousand six hundred and seventy euros);
Jury
The jury must be made up of more than one Técnico teacher, so that they have the majority of votes, and a representative from McKinsey & Company.
