Partnership between Técnico and Santander celebrates ten years.
The anniversary was celebrated with the signing of the renewal of the agreement between the School and the partner organisation.
On the afternoon of 6th December, the Abreu Faro Auditorium on the Alameda campus of the Instituto Superior Técnico hosted the celebration of ten years of partnership between Técnico and Santander. The ceremony was attended by Rogério Colaço, president of Técnico, Inês Oom de Sousa, representing the Santander Portugal Foundation, and Inês Gouveia, representing Santander Universities.
Rogério Colaço described the moment as having “symbolic importance”. “Santander has been our partner for ten years [and] has been a transforming partner for Técnico,” he explained. The Técnico president added that “over the years, the help Santander has given us has enabled us to launch a number of initiatives” that involve “not only our students and their well-being”, but also “some of our research units”. The professor also emphasised the importance of “opening Técnico’s door, making this relationship with the economic fabric a tool of double benefit”.
