The AreeiroEmpreende Program is a partnership between Junta de Freguesia do Areeiro (JFA) and IST.  JFA wants to support up to 5 projects developed by teams constituted by a majority of Técnico students. The projects must be ideas or products adaptable to a business model, implementable within 6 months and should bring gains to the local community.

An info session about the program will be held on October 29th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.

Goal:

Enable participants to acquire implementation skills by testing the economic viability of an idea, product or service, through the implementation of a project in the local community, supported by junta de Freguesia do Areeiro. The project should be implementable within 6 months.

Target:

Técnico students.

A person may participate individually or constitute a team. This team should be constituted by a majority of Técnico students.

• Active Aging;
• Health-care of Elderly/ Geriatrics;
• Mobility;
• Smart Cities / Eco Cities;
• Local market;
• Autarchic Services;
• Civic and community participation.

Deadline:

The applications must be submitted from October 15th until November 5th 2018.

Financing:

Each selected project will be supported up to 5000 € (five thousand euros) for acquisition of material resources and services. There is also the possibility of negotiating partnerships for the implementation of the project in order to test products and / or services, through collaboration agreements with public and private entities from various sectors of the local economy.
