Innovation activities are a central focus of the work developed by the Business Partnerships Office. We develop initiatives aimed at bringing industry closer to innovation and technology, promoting closer collaboration between companies, students, researchers, professors, and the broader academic community.

i.Talks@Técnico

The i.Talks@Técnico are an opportunity for companies to learn about the work and progress achieved by Técnico’s professors and researchers, while also allowing them to understand the successes and needs of specialists and technicians from companies, as well as the new business opportunities they wish to explore.

Co-creation Workshops

With the goal of stimulating creativity through the sharing of ideas, this initiative brings together companies and students to participate in a co-creation workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to learn techniques and methodologies for approaching a problem from various perspectives and, in groups with other students and collaborators, use their skills to create solutions and new ideas.

R&D Projects

Pre-competitive Research Projects

Integration into the Técnico Partner Network offers companies the possibility to contract pre-competitive research projects in a technology of their interest. This program can include research grants for master’s or doctoral students, a set number of hours from a responsible professor or researcher, a partnership with a research center, quarterly follow-up meetings with the project team, and the delivery of associated documentation.

Scholarships for Master’s, Doctorate, and Post-Doctorate

Promotion of scholarships for advanced studies in specific topics, with or without the participation of other funding entities.
