Industrial Engineering and Management student honoured with Jerónimo Martins Merit Award.
Maria Teresa Moura was the big winner of the award, standing out in the final of the Prize after the decisive pitch.
On Monday 20th November, the Jerónimo Martins group awarded the Jerónimo Martins Merit Prize in Industrial Engineering and Management to the best student to have graduated from this course.
The award ceremony took place at the Taguspark campus of the Instituto Superior Técnico and was attended by the five best students, who had been selected in advance to make their final pitch in the presence of a jury made up of members from Técnico and Jerónimo Martins.
The session began with a speech by Rogério Colaço, president of Técnico, who emphasised the importance of having companies like Jerónimo Martins in Técnico’s Partner Network and the importance of companies and academia maintaining a close relationship. Paulo Jesus, Head of Learning & Innovation at Jerónimo Martins, also emphasised the importance of the partnership between Técnico and the company.
It was then time for the five selected students to make their presentations.
