Cisco Awards Excellence in the Network Architecture and Management Course
On October 28, the Academic Merit Award in Network Architecture and Management by Cisco was presented for the academic years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024. The ceremony took place in the Meeting Room of the Central Pavilion on the Alameda campus. The award recognized the top-performing students in the Network Architecture and Management course from the Electrical and Computer Engineering program, José Luís Trindade and Duarte Pardal.
Present at the event, Rogério Colaço, President of Instituto Superior Técnico, stated that “recognizing students is a major focus of Técnico.” Recalling his own student days, he emphasized that “engineering courses used to be extremely challenging, with no such recognition, and now we understand the importance of these awards, especially for their motivational value.” Highlighting Cisco’s relationship with Técnico, which began in 2019, he reiterated that the School’s goal is to “train engineers equipped to meet the demands of the job market.”
