Do you want to be one of Técnico’s nominees for the Pan-European Seal programme 2021/2022?

Pan-European Seal programme is a Traineeship Programme offered by EPO (European Patent Office) e o EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for students and alumni of some of the biggests european universities.

Instituto Superior Técnico is one of the partner universities and is inviting its students and recent alumni to participate in this program and how is work in an intellectual property office for a year.

The EPO Munich and the EUIPO Alicante are looking for exactly graduates in Science and Engineering for the vacancies. Specific knowledge in these areas is highly valued.

In the last year of the programme, 6 Técnico students and alumni were selected to work in different areas of EUIPO and EPO. They are in the middle of the program at the moment. This year can be you there.


What is this programme?

It’s a Traineeship Programme offered by EPO and EUIPO. It’s a 12 months and 2 weeks programme at EPO Munich or EUIPO Alicante and pays around 1.000 – 2.000 € per month. The programme starts in september of 2021. This year part of the programme will be online.


How can I apply?

Candidates can only be accepted if proposed by their university. So, through this form you can apply for the consideration of IST. The deadline is 1st March 2021.


How is the job?

On the job training:

Trainees are fully integrated in EUIPO or EPO Departments.

E.Awards@Técnico 2020 – Final Pitch

In the 3rd edition of E.Awards@Técnico there will be 16 selected teams that will present their projects and will be evaluated by the jury that will determine the winners.

This initiative, organized by the Technology Transfer Area (TT @ Técnico), aims to stimulate the creativity of Técnico students to create solutions to global problems and perhaps their own business.

The event will take place via Zoom. Registration is required.

Get to know the projects that are competing this year and find out who will be the teams that will win the Santander award for The Best Project worthing 2000€ and the two honourable mentions given by Armilar Ventures, each worthing €500.

These are some of the questions that will be answered in the “Quick introduction to Intellectual Property” section of the IP Talks@Técnico program, on November 25th at 4pm

This is the first in a series of short sessions presented by the Intellectual Property Office of the Technology Transfer Office of Técnico to all the academic community, but mainly to researchers, PhD students and finalist students.

In a short session, we will talk about the general concepts within the field of Intellectual Property. You will be able to learn the step-by-step to protect your work and discover how to value your research in the context of the academia.

This session will pave the way to other sessions that will take place along the academic year and that will focus on specific themes within IP. All sessions will be held in English and online (by Zoom).

The PI Days@Técnico 2019 are about to start. They are sessions dedicated to Industrial Property where you can learn about the world of patents and inventions. Who knows you have an idea to be patented and marketed?

Come and share your doubts with the INPI examiner, Jorge Cunha, in the first session of the season: “Can I patent my invention?”.
