Jerónimo Martins Merit Prize awarded to Técnico students.
On 21 February, the Jerónimo Martins group once again awarded the best dissertation in its Master’s Degree in Informatics and Computer Engineering. This year, the group decided to recognise the three best works by awarding not one, but three prizes.
The three winners were Miguel Oliveira with his dissertation “ExplodeQ.js: A Library of Queries to Detect Injection Vulnerabilities in Node.js Applications” (1st place), Rúben Inácio with the work “Exploiting graph neural networks for jet identification in LHC experiments” (2nd place) and João Oliveira with “HawkSet: An Automatic, Agnostic, and Efficient Concurrent PM Bug Detection Tool” (3rd place), with prizes of 1800, 900 and 450 euros, respectively.
In addition to the prizes awarded by Jerónimo Martins, Pedro Amaral also handed out diplomas to all the students who presented their master’s projects – André Salgado, João Oliveira, Leonor Veloso, Miguel Monteiro and Rúben Inácio.
