Técnico celebrates the 7th edition of the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Prize in defence of gender equality.

In the late afternoon of 24 January, the Salão Nobre was filled with spectators to watch the award ceremony for Marta Tomé and Elsa Abranches, winners of this edition in the Young Alumna and Role Model categories, respectively. In attendance were figures such as Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Republic, Elvira Fortunato, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education and Luís Ferreira, Rector of the University of Lisbon.

Established in 2016, the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Prize aims to promote the importance of gender equality in the technical field, while also recognising the crucial role that women play in all areas of engineering.
