Merit Award Altice Labs – Reconhecimento Alcino Lavrador

Altice Labs will award the best graduating Master’s student in selected areas of information technology, communication and electronics. These areas include the following Master’s degrees, which are taught by Instituto Superior Técnico: Informatics; Computer Engineering; Electrical and Computer Engineering; Electronic Engineering; Telecommunications and Computer Engineering; Engineering and Data Science; and Applied Mathematics and Computing.

Target audience and application conditions

All Students  who fulfil the following cumulative conditions in the previous academic year are eligible for the ‘Altice Labs – Alcino Lavrador Recognition’ Merit Award:
a) are recent graduates of any Master’s programme in the TICE area at Instituto Superior Técnico;
(b) have completed all the curricular units of the master’s degree within the deadlines, achieving a grade of at least 16 points.

Rules and Conditions

  1. The jury will rank students according to their final course average, rounded to the nearest hundredth.
    In the event of a tie, students will be ranked according to the median of their course grades.

Prize

  • Monetary prize, to be given to student, amounting to 2.500,00€;
  • Promoting actions to improve the quality of teaching, in the amount of 1.650,00€.

Juri

The jury must be composed of two Técnico professors appointed by the Pedagogical Council.
