An informal meeting between entrepreneurs with technical DNA that promises to inspire you and show how it’s possible to turn ideas into reality.

Kearney distinguishes academic merit of Degree student in Applied Mathematics and Computing

Friday, October 8th, 2021

The Técnico student João Camareiro (Applied Mathematics and Computation), won the 3rd edition of the Kearney Class Excellence Award. Also the Técnico students David Nassauer (Applied Mathematics and Computation), and João Rocha (Computer Science and Engineering), won two honorable mentions for their excellent academic performance. The 3 students obtained a final classification of 19 points in Probability and Statistics course unit. The tie breaker rule was the students’ average score in all 1^st year subjects.

E.Awards@Técnico 2020 – Final Pitch

In the 3rd edition of E.Awards@Técnico there will be 16 selected teams that will present their projects and will be evaluated by the jury that will determine the winners.

This initiative, organized by the Technology Transfer Area (TT @ Técnico), aims to stimulate the creativity of Técnico students to create solutions to global problems and perhaps their own business.

The event will take place via Zoom. Registration is required.

Get to know the projects that are competing this year and find out who will be the teams that will win the Santander award for The Best Project worthing 2000€ and the two honourable mentions given by Armilar Ventures, each worthing €500.

International career at the World Bank Group

The World Bank Group will be hosting an online session, via Zoom, for Técnico students on 23rd November, at 15:00.

The session will focus on career opportunities for young professionals and the Young Professionals Program (YPP), the World Bank’s flagship program for recruiting top talent.

A.T. Kearney Class Excellence Award & AI Talk

On October 21, 2020, at 5:30 pm, A.T. Kearney Portugal, will delivered the academic merit award “A.T. Kearney Class Excellence Award ”2019/2020 followed by a talk entitled“ Artificial Intelligence: hype or reality? How advanced analytics can create real value today ”, how advanced probabilistic and statistical techniques have allowed us to create technology that drives artificial intelligence in a way that creates value never before achieved for companies and businesses in almost all sectors and industries.

Participants can choose to attend the session in person or remotely, via Zoom.

Award Ceremony – McKinsey Merit Award in Complex Analysis and Differential Equations

Alexandre Neves, Computer Science and Engineering student, won the McKinsey Merit Award in Complex Analysis and Differential Equations, and Hugo Matias, Electrical and Computer Engineering student, won an honourable mention.

Alexandre Neves, Computer Science and Engineering student, won the 2nd edition of McKinsey Merit Award in Complex Analysis and Differential Equations. Hugo Matias, Electrical and Computer Engineering student, won an honourable mention. The virtual award ceremony took place this Tuesday 6th October.

Two teams win Novabase Merit Award in Software Engineering

The 3rd edition of Novabase Merit Award in Software Engineering took place last Tuesday, September 29. Although the award regulations foresees only winner, the excellence of the work carried out divided jury’s verdict, and two teams won the award: “es20al_18” and “AtLETIco F.C”

Everis delivers another Merit Award in Machine Learning to Técnico students

Everis continues to recognise the merit and talent of Técnico students. “Team D”, composed of Técnico students Gonçalo Melo and André Patrício, won the 2nd edition of the Everis Merit Award in Machine Learning. This award (€1,300) is delivered annually and recognises the performance and academic merit of the best team in Machine Learning Curricular Unit of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in the academic year 2019/2020.
